Jody and Ras, United Stated of Denmark

Jody and Rasmus’s wedding was so chock full of details, that it was hard to select the photos to feature in this post.  Jody is one of the most vivacious bright people I have ever met, and her adorable new husband Rasmus, was the perfect counter point.  They brought in lots of personal details, including Rasmus’s Danish background and their love of biking (during their time together they have regularly biked over the bridge to spend time at Cavallo Point).  Danish words with translations were sprinkled throughout the day on rustic handpainted wooden signs, and Jody wore handpainted Tod’s dancing shoes, with one foot painted as an American flag and one painted as a Danish flag to celebrate their theme, “The United States of Denmark”.  Jody’s favorite aqua beach cruiser was parked at the ceremony with its basket filled with Fall flowers.  Fall details were also sprinkled through with jack-o-lanterns (which they carved at their welcome party with their guests), mini pumpkins in sparkle paint for the escort cards, and lots of yellow sunflowers.  Danish wedding dinners typically take 6 hours with lots of entertainment mixed in, so we did a modified version of this- a three hour dinner in our historic chapel for their 60 guests.  The party began with guests arriving on a Mexican party bus, and ended with dancing, confetti bombs and a choreographed dance in storm trooper masks.  What a day! Coordination by Lisa McNichol of And Something Blue, and the beautiful photos captured by James Everett who was an absolute pleasure to work with.
