Rachel and Blake were so much fun to work with. They share my love of amazing food and drink and I never tired of spending time discussing the food details of their wedding with them, from a dramatic shellfish station which was displayed on the walnut table in our Mariposa Room for their cocktail hour, to serving their signature drink, a meyer lemon moscow mule, in the perfect copper mugs. Natalie Bowen did an incredible job creating a beautiful zen feel to their flowers, incorporating Asian herbal plants into a bevy of architectural arrangements that were abundantly scattered across their “queen” dining tables in Verbena. Crisp ivory linens with soft blue runners and beautiful Japanese style paper menus by Olive-Route completed the look. They moved their group back up to our Mission Blue Chapel for the dance party, with lounge areas, a paper crane station, the band, a photobooth, and a dessert station of tortes and tarts created by the loving hands of Rachel’s mother and her friends- so sweet! Stacy McCain was an absolute pleasure to work with on the plans for this special day, and I love the way all of the details were capture by the lovely women of Gertrude and Mabel Photography.
